What is Hult Prize?
The Hult Prize is the world’s largest student competition for social good. Often called the “Nobel Prize for students”, it challenges young people to create innovative, for-profit startups that address urgent global issues in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Each year, more than 100,000 students from universities around the world take part, competing through campus, regional, and global rounds for the chance to win US $1,000,000 in seed funding to launch their idea into reality.

Why Join Hult Prize @ NCKU?
Every great idea begins with a question. Hult Prize at NCKU is where that question becomes action. It offers students the chance to take a problem they care about and transform it into a solution that matters. Throughout the journey, participants receive mentorship, attend workshops designed to build entrepreneurial and leadership skills, and gain experience in presenting ideas with clarity and confidence.
The program is not only about competition but also about growth. Students work in teams, learn to navigate challenges, and discover how their ideas can create measurable impact. For the winning team, the journey continues to the National Round, with the possibility of advancing to the Global Accelerator and ultimately competing for one million US dollars in seed funding. More importantly, every participant becomes part of a global community of innovators proving that students at NCKU have the power to shape a better world.
Submission
The Abstract (1-Pager) marks the Preliminary Round of the Hult Prize at NCKU 2025-2026, the very first step in your journey to becoming a changemaker. This phase allows teams to introduce their idea, impact potential, and business foundation in a clear, concise, and creative way.
Your abstract serves as your team’s first impression to the judges, highlighting not only what your idea is but why it matters. At this stage, we’re looking for purpose, originality, and direction, a glimpse of how your idea could grow into something transformative and aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Your abstract must include the following four key elements — the same pillars used in the official Hult Prize scorecard:
Team – Introduce your members, roles, and what unites you as a team. Show your collaboration, diversity, and shared commitment.
Idea – Define the problem, your innovative solution, and what makes it different or better than what already exists.
Impact – Explain how your idea supports at least one UN SDG and creates measurable change by 2030.
Business Viability – Describe how your idea could operate sustainably and scale over time, even in its early concept stage.
You may also include additional sections such as target audience, value proposition, or early validation, as long as everything fits neatly on one page (A4). Visuals, icons, or short graphics are encouraged for clarity.
