Dec 11, 2025

Hult Prize at National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) proudly participated as a featured contributor at the 6th Asia-Pacific Roots & Shoots Youth Summit, an international gathering that brought together over 100 youth delegates, professors, and NGO leaders from 17 countries to advance sustainability, leadership, and youth-driven innovation. Hosted by Chang Jung Christian University (CJCU) in collaboration with the Jane Goodall Institute, the summit provided a dynamic regional platform for cross-border learning and action.

Representing NCKU, Eugene, Campus Director, and Bryant, Vice Campus Director, delivered an engaging session introducing the Hult Prize framework as one of Asia-Pacific’s most scalable youth innovation models. Eugene emphasized youth voice and agency, encouraging participants to overcome hesitation and take ownership of their ideas. Bryant complemented this with actionable leadership strategies, demonstrating how impact metrics, initiative, and resilience shape meaningful social innovation. Together, they highlighted how the Hult Prize ecosystem equips young people with the tools, confidence, and structure to transform ideas into measurable, sustainable outcomes.

The response from delegates was overwhelmingly positive. Participants from multiple countries actively engaged in discussion, explored follow-up collaboration, and expressed interest in joining the Hult Prize movement. Faculty and organizers praised NCKU’s session as one of the most compelling contributions of the summit, noting its clarity, depth, and real-world relevance.

By participating in the summit, Hult Prize at NCKU strengthened Taiwan’s presence in the regional innovation landscape, expanded international partnerships, and reinforced its commitment to developing globally minded young leaders. The momentum gained from this event is expected to further elevate student engagement, cross-campus collaboration, and the impact of the Hult Prize Foundation across Asia-Pacific.
