Sep 28, 2025

Arrival & Agenda Brief

Participants checked in and received a brief overview of the workshop agenda, setting the stage for an interactive and informative session.

Keynote: Introduction to Hult Prize – Eugene

Eugene opened the workshop by sharing the vision and mission of the Hult Prize, emphasizing how the competition empowers students worldwide to develop impact-driven business ideas that address pressing social challenges. His presentation framed the workshop as the beginning of participants’ journey toward social innovation and entrepreneurship.

Fundamentals of SDGs – Bryant

Bryant introduced the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), highlighting the global challenges they represent. He encouraged students to view these challenges as opportunities for creative entrepreneurial solutions, connecting the SDGs directly to the innovation spirit of the Hult Prize.

Interactive Activity: SDGs Speed Puzzle

Participants were divided into groups for the SDGs Speed Puzzle, tasked with designing a product or service addressing one SDG within 15 minutes. Each group pitched their idea in a two-minute presentation, followed by a live voting session via QR code. Group Six emerged as the winner, and prizes were awarded. The activity energized attendees and set a collaborative tone for the rest of the workshop.

Speaker Session 1 – Eco Fitae

Eco Fitae, the NCKU Campus Round winning team, shared their Hult Prize journey, discussing team dynamics, competition challenges, and key lessons learned. Their project—a biodegradable, vitamin-infused inhalation alternative to help smokers quit—combined health and sustainability in a creative way. A lively Q&A session allowed participants to learn about idea development, strategies for success, and building strong team culture grounded in passion, skills, and values.

Speaker Session 2 – RenaiSun

Angela from RenaiSun, a former Taiwan National Winner of the Hult Prize, presented “From Idea to Impact,” emphasizing the importance of storytelling, team growth, and standing out in competitions. She offered practical advice on pitching, teamwork, and navigating regional and national rounds, inspiring students to tackle challenges with resilience and creativity.

Networking Activity: Speed Teaming

The final interactive session, Speed Teaming, paired participants in rapid, two-minute conversations to discuss prompts such as:

  • “What SDG challenge excites you most?”

  • “What skill do you bring to a team?”

Following several rounds, free mingling allowed students to connect further. Committee members facilitated group assignments to ensure smooth interaction, promoting collaboration and potential team formation for the Hult Prize competition.
